Schneider-Kreuznach magnetron sputtered industrial narrow bandpass filters feature steep slopes for sophisticated applications that require a sharp transition between high transmission and deep blocking at stable cut-on and cut-off wavelengths. The layers are applied by means of magnetron sputtering, a special coating process. Schneider-Kreuznach narrow bandpass filters are RoHS conform. Custom sizes are available on request.

What is the function of a narrow bandpass filter?
A narrow bandpass filter selectively transmits light within a narrow range of wavelengths while blocking light outside this range. The filter is designed to have a high degree of wavelength selectivity, which allows it to transmit only a specific narrow spectral band of light.

C-Mount filters: perfect fit for vision systems

Defined by 1” (25.4mm) diameter and 32 turns per inch pitch, C-Mount thread is a popular camera mount in machine vision industry. Schneider-Kreuznach offers for most filters a CMT mount option. So that filters can go in any C-Mount based mechanics in vision systems.

Another popular application, CMT mounts can easyly be used for, is placing a filter in front of the sensor into the camera. The extension of the back flange distance has to be considered for imaging applications.

SH-Mount filters: unmatched flexibility and robust performance

Schneider-Kreuznach offers a variety of mounts with common thread sizes to fit on most camera lens systems. SH-Mount is the standard, when high flexibility is needed. Filters are held by retainer rings. SH-Mounts are extreme robust.

All SH-Mounts have a female and male M-thread, and can be stacked if several filters must be combined.

SN1-Mount was designed for in machine vision industry popular M30.5x0.5 thread. With its high clear aperture, vignetting can be avoided, even for wide angle applications. The filter is glued into the mount, in order to secure it against vibrations when integrated into robots or production lines. It is ideal to be used in automated fabrication.

The NBP 660-10 narrow band filter was specially developed for applications that require a very narrow bandwidth. The magnetron sputter technology used enables the layer thickness to be determined with atomic precision, resulting in a very steep edge and very high transmission.  With an optical density of OD3, the filter blocks unwanted light to a degree that is more than sufficient for most applications, such as measurement applications or lasers with a wavelength of 660 nm.

The NBP 635-20 is a narrow band interference filter. It is ideally suited for lasers with the corresponding wavelength as well as for light emitting diodes with the same wavelength. Due to the narrow band and optical density of OD3, unwanted wavelengths and stray light are blocked. Due to its steep edges, the filter responds quickly and blocks again just as quickly. It is therefore used for precise measurements or extremely accurate 3D applications.
