Our Extension Tubes

Every machine vision application is characterized, among other parameters, by a specific magnification. This in turn requires a defined distance from the lens to the sensor. Unlike small and medium format photographic lenses, our lenses do not have a fixed flange focal length, i.e. the distance from the lens to the camera is different for each lens at the same magnification ratio. Cameras also have different flange focal lengths, so the back focal length of the lenses must be adapted to the imaging task. This is accomplished by using interchangeable extension tubes of different lengths that are mounted between the lens and the camera. Currently, extension tubes from 5 mm to 100 mm are available with different mounts.
