PYRITE LF
Our Pyrite - LIQUID FOCUS lensES
These lenses are combining an approved Schneider-Kreuznach lens and one of Optotunes Focus Tunable Lenses EL-16-40-TC. They come in two versions for C-Mount and TFL-Mount. To achieve a wide range of working distance the lenses can be combined with extension tubes of 5 mm or 8 mm so the liquid lens can always be used in its optimal operating range.

What are the working principle and the nominal magnifications?
Working principle with extension tubes
In delivery condition the lens has its optimal working distance starting from infinity.
To reach closer distances it is necessary to use an extension tube between lens and camera, so that the liquid lens element can always be used in its comfort zone for focussing.

Mounts for PYRITE LF lenses
C-Mount
A C-mount is a specific mechanical connection widely used in the industry for cameras and lenses. It is defined by a diameter of 1 inch (25.4 mm) and 32 threads per inch (C-mount thread). TFL-Mount
A TFL-Mount is a specific mechanical mount used in the industry for cameras and lenses. The term "TFL" stands for "Treaded Filter Lens" and describes the thread system used with this mount. TFL-Mounts are also known as "M30.5x0.5" because they have a thread with a diameter of 30.5 mm and a pitch of 0.5 mm.
The technical characteristics of the TFL-Mount are based on this standardized thread and diameter, which allows high compatibility between different lenses and cameras. This mount is widely used in industrial vision systems and other applications where precision and consistency are important.
