Macro Images without Matte Box
Schneider-Kreuznach launches Screw-In Full Diopters

As of now, Schneider-Kreuznach also offers its full diopters as screw-in filters with 95 mm diameter.

Schneider-Kreuznach Diopter Full M95 Screw-In Filter on ISCORAMA 54 CU-1.5x and Xenon FF Prime Group shot showing the Schneider-Kreuznach full diopter M95 screw-in cine filters in the available strenghts +1/4, +1/2, +1 and +2.

The new filters complement the current full diopter series with its 138 mm and 4.5 inch drop-in filter cells and are available in four strengths: +1/4, +1/2, +1 and +2.

Diopter Full M95 can be easily attached to the lens itself and provides for macro images without the need for a compatible matte box. Thanks to its diameter of 95 mm, the screw-in filter matches with numerous common optics, including Schneider-Kreuznach’s own lens collection Xenon FF Primes and the ISCORAMA 54 CU-1.5x anamorphic front adapter.

About Full Diopters
Full diopters shorten the close-focusing distance of lenses by reducing the focal length of the optical system. Hence, they create macro imagery without the use of a dedicated macro lens. It can be stated: The higher the diopter’s strength, the shorter the close-focusing distance.
