B+W Filter expands its MASTER filter line
with new ND Graduated filters
B+W Filter is expanding its MASTER filter line with new ND Graduated filters with a rotating holder for aligning the horizon gradient. The new filters replace the previous filters of the BASIC line and offer a more compact design, making them narrower than their previous filters.
The gradient of the new filters is finely tuned and allows more precise control over the incidenceof light. This enables photographers to optimize their images even more effectively and more creatively. In addition to the existing strengths (ND 0.3, ND 0.6), two additional strengths (ND 0.9, ND 1.2) are offered, making a total of four strengths available.
Filter type | Aperture* | Density | Filter factor* | Transmission |
711 | +1 | ND 0.3 | 2x | 50% |
712 | +2 | ND 0.6 | 4x | 25% |
713 | +3 | ND 0.9 | 8x | 12.5% |
714 | +4 | ND 1.2 | 16x | 6.3% |

An additional improvement is the MRC nano coating, which is used instead of the previous MRC coating. This new coating technology enables even better antireflection and easier cleaning of the filters. As always, the new ND Graduated filters from B+W Filter are manufactured in Germany and therefore offers outstanding quality "Made in Germany". The new ND graduated filters will be available from November in diameters from 49 mm to 82 mm.
