Packaging & Recycling

For product and shipping packaging, we mainly use paper-based materials such as cardboard and corrugated board.

If an insert consists entirely of paper or cardboard, it can generally be disposed of together with other paper-based packaging.

Requirements for wooden packaging may vary depending on the country and type of packaging.

Separate the individual components of the packaging wherever possible. Cardboard, plastic films, foam and other materials should be disposed of separately in accordance with local collection systems.

Proper separation supports the sorting and recycling of individual materials.

Collection and recycling systems differ between countries, regions and municipalities.

Packaging should be completely emptied before disposal. Significant contamination or residues should be removed where this can be done without disproportionate effort.

If packaging is still in good condition, it may be reused for storage, transport or return shipments before being sent for recycling.

Depending on the packaging type, our packaging may include material codes, symbols or packaging identification information.

These markings can help identify the packaging material and support correct disposal. A QR code provided on the packaging may link directly to this page or to additional information about the respective packaging.

As the first distributor of packaged goods, Jos. Schneider Optische Werke GmbH is obliged to participate in a dual system in accordance with the provisions of the German Packaging Ordinance (Verpack V) of August 21, 1998 pursuant to "§ 6, para. 3, Verpack V".

Jos. Schneider Optische Werke GmbH fulfills this obligation through a contract with NOVENTIZ GmbH for participation in the Dual System. This contract covers all sales packaging distributed by Jos. Schneider Optische Werke GmbH in the Federal Republic of Germany.
