Industrial Imaging
With a universal V-Mount interface and a selection of Schneider-Kreuznach lenses, helical focus gears, extension tubes, and camera adapters, the V-System can be adapted to work with a wide variety of cameras. This adaptability makes it suitable for a broad range of custom applications, from precision line scan to large-format sensor tasks.
The V-System is the best choice for larger image circles and flexible flange-to-image distances. Thanks to their universal, application-independent design and an optically and mechanically well thought-out construction, these lenses enable the full utilization of modern sensor technology. The system can be adapted on many different cameras for industrial and scientific applications.
A complete system consists of a minimum of one lens and one camera adapter, and a maximum of one lens, one helical gear, one or more extension tubes, and one camera adapter.
The imaging task usually specifies the imaging scale (ratio of object to sensor size) and the working distance (distance from object to lens) or the total length from object to sensor. From this, the required focal length of the lens can be estimated.
The lens data sheet contains the relevant information to calculate the distance from the lens V-mount to the camera mount. This distance is then realized by selecting the appropriate mechanical components.
Alternatively, the required components can be calculated using an Excel spreadsheet, which we provide upon request. Our team is happy to define your system.
The compact and rugged lenses in each series all have continuous aperture adjustment with a locking screw and a filter thread. In addition to universal lenses for a wide range of sensor sizes, the lens range includes high-end lenses for large sensors, optimised for specific image scales up to 5.2x magnification.
Some of the lenses do not have their own focusing mechanism. They can be used with helical focusing gears, which vary in size, extension and comfort. The distance setting can be fixed on focusing mounts.
Lenses do not have a fixed flange focal length, i.e. the distance between the lens and the camera is different for each lens. Cameras also differ in flange focal length. The image-side extension length of the lenses must be matched to the imaging task by using extension tubes of different lengths, which can be combined as required and mounted between the lens and the camera.
Camera adapter
The camera adapters connect the system to different camera models and mounts. Please refer to the table on the last page for the available versions and their respective extensions.
