Measurement is Knowledge

Discover a new world of measuring technology with Schneider-Kreuznach. Measurement is knowledge. And if you do not measure, you do not know what you are producing. The optical measurement engineering is subject to extremely high quality demands and standards. With our devices you can guarantee your customer the highest quality assurance.

Schneider-Kreuznach has successfully developed and applied measurement devices in its own production for many years. With our series of premium gauges we can meet even the highest demands to an accuracy of one thousandth of a millimetre. In addition, our gauges feature an operating concept which is unparalleled in the industrial sector in terms of ergonomics and logic.  Some advantages of our measurement devices are:

  • tested and optimized in our own production for many years,
  • a robust design for applications in production,
  • high speed of measurement,
  • high precision of measurement,
  • measurement in accordance with ISO 10110.

VP 30194 CENTER THICKNESS GAUGE FOR LARGE DIAMETER

VP 30194 Center thickness gauge for large diamter

The device measures lens center thickness, preferably of previously centered lenses. A central clamp aligns the test pieces centrally to two measuring feelers via their diameter. The feelers are then closed pneumatically and offset against each other in separate digital display electronics. The lens center thickness is displayed immediately. The diameter of the central clamp can be preset, which hugely simplifi es operation when measuring several lenses of the same type.

In order to obtain information quickly about the center thickness of small lenses in the manufacturing process, an extended version of the existing lens center thickness gauge VP 30195 is also available. The device has an integrated laser centering device and can therefore measure even uncentered lenses without any problems.

SPECIAL MEASURING SYSTEMS | VP 30370 HDOTF

Special optical testing

Our highly specialized measuring systems determine the two-dimensional transfer function (2d MTF) of an object in real time. The test function (the Dirac impulse) is realized using pinholes of different diameters.

The systems can be freely parameterized and allow a semi-automatic measuring method. The resulting parameter data records are managed in a relational database. The same applies to all of the measuring data acquired. An extensive export option, e.g. to Excel, facilitates links to existing QS systems.

A flexible quick release support in a precise and generously dimensioned pivot bearing holds the test pieces. The systems should be kept at a constant temperature (+–2 degrees). For certain measurements, a vibration-free environment is required. The VP 30370 system is mounted on an air-bearing table.

The accuracy of the overall system is calibrated on the basis of special lenses gauged by PTB.

THE MEASURING HEAD
The measuring head consists of several motorized adjustment units of a special CCD camera (cooled) with optimized and specially fine-tuned measuring lenses (highly accurate and gauged), the illumination (stabilized), and exchangeable filter wheels (custom made) adapted to the transfer chain (for quick change of the measuring color).

THE ANALYSIS COMPUTER
The system is operated via a Windowsbased analysis computer.
